Practical
Before you arrive
Waterhoek is a working farm, so please keep the following in mind:
- Let us know if you will arrive after dark.
- Drive carefully on farm roads.
- Children must be supervised around animals, water, fire pits, fences, and farm equipment.
- Please do not feed or handle animals without permission.
- If you are bringing pets, approval must be arranged before arrival.
- Campsite guests must bring their own tent, bedding, and camping equipment.
Pet-friendly stays
Selected units are pet-friendly by prior arrangement only. Pet fee: R100 per pet per night.
Animal interactions
All animal interactions must be respectful and guided where needed.
Horse experiences
The Horse Connection Experience is not a traditional trail ride and depends on the horse, guest, weather, and Donna's assessment.
